Music Academy

The JSU Music Academy is a program hosted by the David L. Walters Department of Music at Jacksonville State University. We are dedicated to providing quality music education in Calhoun and surrounding counties and believe that an education in music  opens doors that help children become involved in the world around them — a world of work, culture, intellectual activity, and human involvement.

Gamecock Arts
& Sciences Programs

The Gamecock Arts & Sciences Programs (GASP) are an opportunity for community members to experience college-level art and performance activities. This program is geared towards talented youth and life long learners who are serious about furthering their Arts, Humanities, and Sciences Education. The classes and workshops will be taught by faculty, staff, and students of College of Arts, Humanities, and Sciences and community partners.

Field Trips &
Family Series

The ROC provides increased access to top-notch resources, serving as the creative heart of the community and surrounding region. While the ROC will be an inspiring new resource for JSU’s students, its impact will extend beyond campus as JSU capitalizes on the new facility to make additional arts programming available to families, senior citizens, and others in the region.

The Shakespeare Project was established in 2017 to promote an understanding of performing arts and literature by presenting free professional productions of Shakespeare’s classic plays.

Kaleidoscope, The College of Arts, Humanities, and Sciences’ Festival of the Arts, was created to celebrate the arts and humanities at JSU. The college has scheduled performances, films, readings, lectures and more that are open to the public. We hope that you will join us to celebrate creativity and innovation in music, art, creative writing, history, theatre, and film at JSU.
